    Promising Start

    UpNote is a simple, clean, minimal note-taking app that functions like a slightly more advanced version of Simplenote (my favorite note app). The ability to create notebooks is something so many note-taking apps lack. Not only does it help with organization but it can easily turn UpNote into way more than just another notes app. I do wish it had tags, maybe in a later version. When I saw UpNote had bookmarks, I got excited as I’ve been looking for an app that can handle notes, docs, and bookmarks, both internal and external (web bookmarks, linking to other notes like Bear does). However, the bookmark functionality is similar to “favoriting” a note and not an actual bookmarking functionality. Still, right out of the gate UpNote is an impressive note-taking app that’s different just enough to stand out. It’s like Simplenote crossed with the best of Evernote without all the bloat and creepy privacy concerns.

    Beautiful app but a couple of suggestions

    I just dowloaded this app today and I am loving it so far. It has the kind of simplicity that I've been looking for. But I have a few quality-of-life suggestions that could be added: - I wish that we could adjust the line width to our preference. The current line width is a little too narrow for me and it effects the readability - Enable the swipe actions from the trackpad for quick actions (i.e. swiping to the left while hovering on a note can show the delete option) - Have focus mode with different sidebar preferences (i.e. I want to be in focus mode but still have my main sidebar visible and assessble so I could easily switch to different notes while in focus mode without having to close out of it) - A little bit more margin and padding could go a long way. Some of the UI feels really close together (i.e. some more space in the top bar [where the search input is] could be nice) Keep up the great work! I would love for this app to the best it could be.

    Sweet App!!!

    I’ve used many different note apps. This one is my favorite so far. I love that how clean and easy to use it is. I love the ability to highlight text or change the text color. Really makes it easy to bring out the interesting parts of a note. I started testing this app for a first month I used it just putting some duplicate notes in there and using them to see how things went. Next thing I knew I was putting everything in Upnote. No real issues and when I had one the developers were quick to resolve it. I know everyone has different preferences in what hey want in a note app but this one works fantastic for my needs. I know some people would like to see more features like reminders and such but I like to keep things simple so my request would be to keep the app for notes and research and I’ll use reminders and calendar items in other apps. Not a fan of having it all in one place. To many things that could go wrong.

    I am wondering how secure my notes are on the upnotes server. Also, what is the encryption being used for the loced notes. It makes me suspitioes that they don't write about that. Otherwise it's fast and good. Maybe a better streamlined interface and better sharing option to other app on my Windows and iOS as well as working together with LaunchBar and popclip would be great. Tags could be a great addtion for people and locations. PS.: I find the pricing unclear. Does the $20 unlock everything on my iPhone as well. Also, there are different prices in the in-app buying option. Not sure what that is all about and what you get for these different prices.
