• All yours accounts, neatly organized
With Savings, you can pull all of your accounts (checking, credit card, cash, etc.) into a single app, so you always know your net worth and every transaction that comes in and out of your accounts. By entering and categorizing your transactions, you can analyze your spending habit and create a budget to keep your spending under control.
• Connects to your banks
With bank-grade security offered by Visa Inc., Savings can connect to your banks directly so transactions are downloaded automatically. We recommend that you still enter most transactions by hand; on automatic download, these transactions will automatically be cleared. Bank Connect is available in U.S. and Canada, and requires a $2.99/month subscription. You don't need Bank Connect to use Savings effectively.
• Companion iPhone app
Savings 2 for iPhone is an equally powerful finance app that can be used standalone or as a companion to the Windows app, so that you can enter transactions on the go, see charts, etc. To get it, go to savingsapp.com.
• Super fast transaction entry
We know entering transaction is something you do a lot, so we made it super fast with payee and category autocompletion. We also made it keyboard-friendly so you can enter data super fast.
• Gain financial insight through charts
Savings' "Breakdown chart" shows you where your money is going, by breaking down your expense (and income) by category. The "Trends chart" shows you up and down trends of your money. For example, see the trend of your overall balance to see if you are getting richer or poorer. You can compare multiple trends side-by-side.
• Never forget to pay a bill
Savings' "Scheduled transactions" feature lets you keep track of all of your recurring bills. Set reminders so you never forget to pay them, and when your bills are due, log the payment with a click of the mouse.
• Reconcile accounts
It's easy to reconcile accounts in Savings. Either do it manually by clicking the pending flag besides each transaction, or automatically by importing OFX, QIF or CSV file from your bank. If you use Bank Connect, you don't need to do anything – reconciliation happens automatically.
• Make a budget
The best way to control your spending is with a budget. With Savings, you can create a monthly or annual budget. Just set an estimate on each expense and income category and track your progress. If you are spending too fast, slow down or adjust your budget.
• iCloud sync
Secure iCloud sync ensures your data is always up-to-date on both your Windows and iPhone.
• Beautiful design
We love the beauty and simplicity of the Windows, so we designed a personal finance app that is equally as beautiful and a joy to use as your Windows.
• Your privacy is always protected
Your data is for your eyes only.
• Savings has more tricks up its sleeves...
Instant transaction search, batch edit multiple transactions, multi-currency support, Dark Mode, passcode protection, import data from Quicken and Microsoft Money, and more.

Clean, Thoughtful Design to Make My Financial Organizing Simple
A fantastic alternative to the big guys!
I've been testing many personal finance programs over the past several weeks. This program is a fantastic alternative to the big guys. I was able to easily import my existing accounts in via CSV (although the program locked up every time, the data was there when I re-opened) and everything looks great.
Some features I would love to see:
-Need to add breakdown by account!
-No way to sort transactions (by cleared/not cleared, payee, date, etc...)
-No way to backup your entire database with accounts and scheduled transactions locally.
-Ability to search for check number. Check numbers are not included in the searches.
-Red flags for un-cleared transactions instead of yellow. Why yellow?
-When adding recurring transactions (scheduled) there is no calendar view for the date. You have to TYPE in the day, month and year.
-No iPad version
-Different app icons for Windows and iOS. If this bugs you like it did me, you can use the press kit iOS icon on your Windows so they match.
-No calendar view for looking at upcoming scheduled/recurring transactions.
Overall a nice little program. It is incredibly fast and the UI is great. Also, iCloud sync to iOS is almost instantaneous. GREAT PROGRAM OVERALL!
Savings Support is Excellent.
I sent an email about editing categories in Savings 2 that I wanted to change. I received an email the following day with clear directions and screen shots. There is also a user guide on the Savings web. This software imports download files from my credit union and does a good job of not creating duplicate entries. I've used seveeral other financial apps, but this gets most things right.
Best check register/account tracker I've tried.
Savings is the best checking account register of the many I've tried. It's straightforward, easy to use, and I can customize the categories to my household. I don't use the budget function- yet- but categorize every transaction to track spending. The download function was a major factor in my decision to try it, and monthly reconcilement to statements is easy.
I've gradually added all my accounts, including retirement and investment accounts and more, so I have a fairly accurate snapshot of my net worth at any time. At tax time, I can create an account register to save in my tax file.
HIghly recommend Savings. Easy to set up, easy to use, has all the functions 95% of the people need without the bloat. Five stars!
Easy to use.
I’ve used Savings since January, 2013 and am quite happy with it. I haven’t used the budget feature (though I probably should), but I appreciate the breakdown features and the ability to print the breakdown for review. My categories include groups (e.g., auto, medical, income) and individual categories. I am not good with money, but Savings helps me a lot in that respect. Reconciliation of bank accounts and credit cards is a real boon, though check numbers are not used in reconciliation (it must be a new generation, for whom checks are old-fashioned). I’ve found over the years that customer service is very helpful.
