This is not a browser night mode

OK, So it should be pretty apparent by the images but i downloaded it and tried it just to confirm my suspicions. This does nothing to the look of your browser. At all. It does however utilize what I would imagine is some CSS trickery to change the design of the webpage you’re looking at and darken the colors of the website. I guess this would be better described as a webpage night-mode simulator, as it simulates a night mode for the individual site. In my book, a browser night mode doesn’t change the website at all, but changes the browser; ie the grey at the top, the tabs bar, the favorite menu, the bookmarks drawer… all the pieces that are part of the browser running locally, not any of the content it has requested. I can see how some people might want this, but this is definitely NOT a browser dark mode.

    It works!

So at first I thought this extension was broken, because when you open the app anc click “Enable Extension” the extension doesnt appear right away in safari. To get it to appear you have to COMPLETELY CLOSE OUT OF SAFARI. (double click on safari and hit “quit”). Then open the turn off the lights app and hit “Enable Extension” and safari will re open and Ta-Da! the extension has appeared ready to go! super simple

    Great Extension

Great extension for Safari, very well thought out. It has worked flawlessly so far, and it has a ton of customization options. To those who are going to install, make sure to quit and relaunch Safari after you install.

Terrible mobile interface but ITS FREE

Beggars can't be choosers, when apps are Free I set my expectations low and If it overwhelmingly exceeds low expectations and doesn't have pop up ads everywhere, I am more definitely be a lot more curious about the developers. Who are they? Where are they ? What other apps have they made and what is thei angle 😂?? People please be smart. It's always made sense to assume I've traded somehing of value anytime I receive something of value. That's how capitalism work. I'm embarrassed for the human race every time I hear someone saying they used or sold or now own in part or fully my data personal or not without authorization. It's always been one click away, lots of scrolling and fine print but you can use the find me and search any word or phrase so you can get to the point instead of drowning in legalese ! Did this 8 years ago with Facebook and haven't been back. It's Always been toxic, don't let technology hamper your ability to make rational, logical, choices and decisions for yourself and your children.
