1. 4Ktube Extension shows a 4K badge in Safari toolbar if a YouTube video you’re watching offers quality higher than 1080p.
2. Google uses VP9 and AV1 video codecs for YouTube videos that have quality higher than 1080p.
3. Click the toolbar button to open the video in another web browser and enjoy it in full 4K glory.
4. Now, when you watch YouTube videos in Safari, the extension will let you know if there’s 4K quality available.
5. To play such YouTube videos in HDR, 1440p, 2160p or higher quality you’ll have to use a different web browser.
6. This way you can open any page (not just YouTube videos) in Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Opera or another app.
7. Shift-click the toolbar button to also close the page in Safari when you open it in elsewhere.
8. Skip current video ad: click the toolbar button while holding Fn key.
9. YouTube does not support 4K playback in Safari for some videos.
10. Option-click the toolbar button to open 4Ktube Preferences.
11. • Click “Show in Safari Preferences” button.

Die App wurde wie beschrieben installiert, funktioniert unter safari 13.1 jedoch nur auf Umwegen. Wer richtig liest, ist klar im Vorteil: "Youtube does not support 4K video playback in Safari!!!" Sorry...
Doesn't show if the video is 4K
Basically the app shows you nothing, no matter if you are watch a video with 4K, 5K or 8K maximum resolution. It just sits there in your extension bar and opens an app of your choice.
