Good idea that doesn’t work that well

I purchased this app and paid for the unlimited plan and regret it now. It does not play nicely with my iPhone 6 or iPad. I was traveling a lot this summer and wanted the VPN feature for all of the various unsecured WI-FI hot spots I would be using, but it worked poorly. Whenever I would try to log into a WI-FI, it would pop up telling me the site was unsecured (duh) and either the app or the hotspot would not let me connect. If I turned off the app, I could connect and then if I turned the app back on, it would function, but that was hardly convenient. I uninstalled it and went on with my travels and avoided logging into accounts unless I was on cellular. I recently reinstalled it and it has become a battery hog and turns itself on without being asked. Not sure what is going on but I will wait for the next update and if it continues, then I will delete it again.

Sign in Difficulties over AT&T cell network plague app

When I first used the app with a slow DSL connection plus AT&T cell data, the app worked well, speeding some downloads for a new computer I was setting up at my sister-in-law’s house. But trying to use it at the local library similarly, the app often fails to sign in, or connect to the VPN servers, or bond the Wi-Fi and cell data. The app also usually fails to connect or bond our 2 iPhones at the house (2-3 bars signal strength) and keeps signing me out so that I get told I am using the free version with its limitations. Except it’s not working even as that, with no bonding, no VPN, no encryption, no speed up of computer or iPad internet access. Rural internet access is very poor in Maine, and this poorly performing software doesn’t really help much.

    Mobile Version is Terrible!

I hate having to write this review but this mobile VPN is horrible and extremely inconsistent. The app itself is very user friendly and looks aesthetically pleasing. I have both PC and Mobile versions and can say without hesitation that if you’re looking for both do not purchase Speedify. The mobile VPN constantly buffers and you have to turn the VPN off to continue what you were doing. As soon as the VPN is shut off I am able to resume what I’m doing so I have confirmed over a month of trial and error that the VPN just disconnects from the sever and leaves you without internet connection. The PC version is much more reliable although, however, on occasion I have similar issues where my ping will go from standard 45ms to over 2000ms and it usually comes out of it within 5 minutes. Overall definitely would not recommend this service as a mobile VPN.

    Makes a Huge Difference

I was skeptical at first about how well this would help but decided to give it a try anyway. I use Xfinity WiFi hotspot passes and the connection can be slow at times or in some places, like 4-6 Mbps download, I’ve had as low as 0.5-1 Mbps before which is maddening. I bond Speedify and the WiFi hotspots with my cell service provider which is Straight Talk and I get 35 GB data per month, never had any issues with it coming close to reaching my limit and I’m on my phone a lot. The difference is to the point I can immediately tell if it's not running. With Speedify I get average download speeds of 27 Mbps and I think it's 14-15 Mbps upload and my top is 70-something Mbps download and 50-something Mbps upload. I've been using it for 5 months or so if not longer and still love it. The other features it has have also been awesome and really helpful. If you have a pokey or unreliable connection, I really recommend trying it out.
