  Excellent for Unintended User

  Perhaps not the intended user, but I use this app to make dungeon layouts for D&D, as well as daydream about houses I can never afford. Very easy to make new rooms, resize them, angle the walls, add pillars and so on. Though there isn't a tutorial to walk you through at first, it's still pretty intuitive once you try out the buttons to see what they do. Can't say I could recommend this for the professional (not being a professional myself), but for a fun afternoon of house-planning, it's definitely worth it!

  Constant Crashes, lack of basic features

  No ruler tool, cant see dimensions that they show in the simple one page pdf help document. Help is useless. No ability to search for basic functionality. Tool constantly crashes, I have had to redo so much work its hardly worth the effort. You need to save after every edit since you never know when it will change. Can't change swing on doors. . . . They want you to upgrade, but they don't tell you what you will get aside from more colors and tectures. Will I see wall dimensions? ability to change them ? No clue. I could keep going but now I'm going to find another tool to use.

  Asked to rate before I realy have a chance to use

  Unfortunately, one of the very basic use-cases (placing a slider on a wall) is gated by writing a review, so didn't get a chance to use the app much before using it. Can't comment on the app itself at the moment, but here e's the review and may be now the doors wil be unlocked. The only thing I have done so far is place walls, that went off without a problem. So promising but it's very early to say further.

  Don't Waste Your Time or Your Money

  This is not a tool. I am trying to design a basement laundry room. The application does not allow vertical adjustments of walls, does not provide measurements for doors, does not allow for water heaters, duct work, HVAC systems. Washer and dryer are locked out. The app offers to unlock items if you give it a rating.. doesn't work. The application only allows for windows that are standard sized, above grade. With regard to home remodelling projects, I am truly unsure what this application actually does. I am thankful that I did not waste my money on top of my wasted time.

  Lacks Basic Functions

  I recently purchased a new Pc and found that my older Home Design software will not work with the new OS. The House Builder app looked very promising so I downloaded it and started using it right away. It seemed okay at first so I went right ahead and purchased it. That was a mistake. I have owned it for less than four hours and have already had it crash on me and then freeze up to where I had to restart. The app doesn't allow for you to change the swing of a door. The door angle dropdown is grayed out. There is no way to set a default door size, so you have to enter feet and inches on every door you insert. The prefrences link is also grayed out. I am very unhappy that I purchased this program. It really looks like it could be a great program, but lacks basic functions and has too many glitches.
