Level A(1) Library Overview
What is Level A(1) Library? The Level A(1) Library - Learn To Read Books app offers a set of twelve interactive books designed for children who are just beginning to learn how to read. The books contain simple language patterns and high-frequency words, and clicking on any word allows the child to hear it spoken aloud. The app also includes high-frequency word flashcards for each story and custom recording features. The authors of the app are certified teachers who have extensively used resources on literacy learning and matching texts to readers. The app is available for both iOS and Mac and is priced at less than half the cost of Scholastic leveled PDF books and less than one-third the cost of print books.
1. Level A books are designed for children who are just beginning to learn how to read –children in Kindergarten or early Grade One or children who are learning English as an additional language.
2. Level A(1) Library - Learn To Read Books contains twelve Level 1 books.
3. Since words in both the sight words section and the story can be clicked to be heard, it is possible for a child to practice the words and read the story without assistance from a teacher or parent.
