    Don’t waste your money

Don’t waste your money, this app fails everytime I try to add a bank account. What is the point in a tool like this if it doesn’t actually support connections to financial institutions.

Trying to get my money back

I downloaded this app and tried to upload My Money file. The running balance stays at 1.00 for every transaction downloaded and already reconciled transactions are not marked…..nothing is reconciled! I do not want this app on my Windows and want my purchase price of $49.99 back!

    This Ain’t MS Money

After being frustrated using iFinance 3 for several years, and then being completely bummed out after “upgrading” to iFinance 4, I stumbled onto MyMoney, and somehow got the idea that this was based on MS Money. I tried the free version for awhile and it did seem to resemble what I remembered about Money from my old Windows days, but after purchasing the full version and getting a little deeper into it, I started running into issues. The first thing I ran into was an issue with a test account I had setup. I tried to delete it, but got an error when I tried. I could edit it, but everytime I tried to delete it it would error. They do have support via a forum, and I saw a post there regarding the same problem I had with deleting accounts. They acknowledge that there is a problem, but no fix has been issued. The next thing I noticed was after I had imported my account transactions from iFinance4. I found some transactions I had missed and manually entered them into the My Money account. After entering them I saw they were listed as if the transaction was made on todays date, even though I entered the date of the transaction as Feb 11, 2016. It still sorted and displayed it as Jun 9, 2016. I submitted a support post and received this reply: "If there are multiple transactions in the ledger on the same business day then within that day the transactions are sorted by creation date”. That really makes no sense why would would even design a program to operate like that. Also note that this app is not fully integrated with OS X. To delete something you can not simply use the [DELETE] key. You have to move the mouse over to to the Delete Transaction link then click on it. Only a few of the actions are assigned shortcut keys. There is also an annoying confirmation window that pops up everytime you do anything. Also note that there is no UNDO function available. In all fairness, they do give a FREE version to use for 60 days, and it’s my own fault for not giving the tryout more time. Had I completely tested it out I would not have made the purchase. I have no one to blame but myself.

MyMoney is one of the best financial applications I have ever used. The interface is pleasant to work from and I find the program easy to understand without having to look for help. It is full of reports that are useful but not over burdensome. The check writing was a joy to work with. Never at to try and adjust where information was printed on check. It printed out perfectly on the lines it was suppose too. At this point, I find find nothing wrong with this application. Everything seems to be working as it should. I would recommend this application to everyone who is interested in one of the best finanical programs around. This is my opinion. I believe I may have tried most of the financial applications around.
