Software Reviews and Criticism

    Great product

I never tried editing any of the short .mov files I'd made over the years and wanted to arrange some for a gift. I fired up iMovie for the very first time and after a few hours I still had no idea of what I was doing and had no results. After spending some time with "Tutor" I was able to construct a short video in less than an hour. No Spielberg mind you but my family loved it.

    Great learning resource

Bought and reviewed this application tutorial video and was making videos the same day. iMovie 11 tutorial gives you a great overview of iMovie 11 with hands on instruction on how to go from basic to advanced movie making. I contacted the company with questions and they responded quickly and accurately with an answer. I use this app daily as a reference for my video projects. It's a must have if you're new to iMovie 11.

WOW and YES. . . It

So I was having trouble transitioning to the new iMovie application because I had done all my previous video editing in the older version that was used in 2006. I stuck with the old version of iMovie because the new version seemed not to have as many capabilities. I was wrong. The new version has almost all the same capeabilities as the old version, you just have to understand the new interface. Furthermore, I concede that the new is far superior to the old. This product is a set of instructional videos that tells you everything you need to know about the current version. The videos are clear and the demonstrator does an excellent job at teaching the ins and outs of the new interface. The built-in "Microsoft help" for iMovie is really pretty crappy and leaves a lot to be desired. For me, this resource has filled in these knowledge gaps. I bought this product for $5, but would probably still buy it if it were sold for $20. There are many worthless products in the Microsoft store, but this is not one of them. A Fine Product!!! Thanks!!

    Good but not needed...

Ok, so i already had iVideo '11 for a couple of days before i purchased this tutorial, and I have to say, it didn't blew me off the way I thought it would. I thought I barely scratched the surface of the program, and I wanted to see more but... Most of the things (like 75-80%) the narrator said through the video, you can figure out yourself just by trial and error (also holding the mouse cursor over the buttons until the pop-up window appears showing you what is it for, furthermore the program is user-frinedly and logical so you'll pick it up quick). There were only couple of things in the tutorial I didn't know which I believe I would figure out if spent a little more time on it. Anyway, it's a good tutorial for people who are lazy and would rather spend 5$ then exploring it them selfs, which is for me far better then any tutorial.

    Excellent Tuturial/Great Support

I brought this tutorial so that I could learn how to work in IMovie. The tutorial is very detailed and it took me a while to view it. It is very helpful and very well put together. I recently installed LION OSX and had a problem viewing the tutorial after that. But not to worry. I contacted the designers of this tutorial, they explained to me what the problem most likely was, which as is turned out, they were right on point. They instructed me how to fix the issue, and within seconds I was up and running again. It didn't take them no time to repsond back to me. I also downloaded IWeb Tutorial by them. It is equally as helpful. This software is reasonably priced and quite useful. I highly recommend it.
