Mobile Mouse Server Overview
What is Mobile Mouse Server? Mobile Mouse is a server software that works with the Mobile Mouse App for iPhone, Apple Watch, and iPad. It allows users to turn their mobile devices into a motion-based mouse, trackpad, and wireless remote for their computer. The app uses the built-in gyroscope to translate hand motions into mouse movements on the screen and can also operate as a trackpad. The app's innovative application notification system allows users to control all their media and web applications from a single screen. To use the software, users must download one of the paid or free Mobile Mouse apps from the App Store. The system requirements include Mac OS X 10.14+, a private WIFI router or ad hoc network, and the Mobile Mouse App for iPhone/Apple Watch/iPad.

BEWARE: The “Pencil Stylus" MobleMouse supports is NOT the Microsoft Pencil stylus!
Caveat emptor. I was really impressed when I discovered Mobile Mouse suports pressure-sensitive styluses, including "Pencil Stylus." I shouldn’t have been. Upon asking Tech Support for help, I was informed, “… we don’t currently support the Microsoft Pencil yet…. The Pencil we support is made by another company...so we need to clarify that in an update.” Yes, MobleMouse, you DO need "to clarify.” If for no other reason, the deception might appear to some as intentional. A Windows app from the Windows App store which supports Pencil Stylus (captial “S”) might leave one with the impression that it supports the Pencil stylus (lower case “S”). And if this, then what else? Although it is useless to me (at least, until Microsoft Pencil — the Pencil stylus made by Microsoft INC. of Cupertino, California —is supported), I still give two stars based on what little I learned of the App during the setup process. Connectivity was excellent—was able to connect via WiFi, Bluetooth, and USB; the general layout was user-friendly, efficient, and professional; the although an unwelcome message, their Tech Support got back to me within two hours. MobleMouse apparently does a lot of things, and appears to do them well—but using it as a Wacom substitute is only good if your iPad Pro comes with Pencil Stylus rather than a Pencil stylus.
Wonderful! Must have for Microsoft users.
I am so glad I discovered this app. It is just as great as the reviews describe it to be. I have the free version and it does everything I need it to do. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is the fact that you cannot control volume through the app - but, you can use the mouse to click and drag the volume adjuster (when you are watching Netflix, for example, you can mouse-over the speaker icon and drag and drop it to the level your prefer). But, you cannot use the volume control buttons on the side of your phone for easier volume adjustment. Bottom line is, the app is wonderful. You should most definitiely give it a try!
great trackpad…as long as it’s wired
I only use the trackpad feature; don't know about the other modes. This is easily the best trackpad app I have found, but it only works well when connected by USB. Peer to peer should work well, but then you can’t use the WiFi for internet at the same time. When I tried to use the trackpad straight over the WiFi, I had connection problems and sometimes annoying lag. I don’t think I ever got the app to work with the BluTooth. Basically works very well as long as you don’t mind the physical connection. Just watch your device’s battery. I use an ipod touch whose battery is already shot almost exclusively as a mouse with this app.
It does the job
This application is good if you need a mouse in remote locations. It doesn not have the traditional Microsoft TrackPad functionalities, so do not be mistaken. But if you need a mouse or trackpad function on the go in remote locations, this is a great tool. Depending on one’s the means of connecting the phone to the computer will determine the lag of the mouse from my experience. Connection via the USB cable is very responsive with very little interuption, the peer to peer is good too, and the wifi can be good depending on the wifi connection. Also the scrolling functionality doesnt work on certain applications which can be frustrating. 3 stars due to the amount of times it has failed to establish a connection between the computer and the phone.
