    Metal 3 is cool. Why this game to show it off?

    Metal 3 is really impressive! I can eaisly tune settings to run a modern AAA game at 4k60 on my M1 Max MBP, amazing! It's the closest I've felt to owning one computer that meets all my needs since my 2012 rMPB and 2011 Windows started to show their age in 2015! Truly great and I can't wait for more high end games to come back to the Windows! However, why did it have to be THIS game? The gameplay is terrible! It's filled with so many hamfisted and just bad cutscenes, punctuated by brief moments of gameplay with such narrow FOV, cluncky controls, and bad mechanics that you just wish that anotyher cutscene would start already! And maybe this time the fatal injury your character suffers in the cutscene will slow him down for 2 seconds, or even just finally end the misery that is "playing" this "game." Seriously, by three hours in your character suffers half his hand being chewed off, an arrow through his thigh, multiple massive plut force traumas, meat hooks through his ankles, being hung hooks through his palms (and then ripping them out by splitting both his hands in half!), a severed hand, and more all in cutscenes! It's so stupid and I hate every second of it. So glad a major game is back on the Windows, but who thinks this game is fun or worth their time?

    This is the Future for Windows Gaming

    As someone who prefers to use a Windows for all things from work to consuming content, the idea of playing triple A games on my Windows is a dream come true. This game (which I am testing on the BASE entry level M1 chip with 8 GB of RAM) runs flawlessly on my M1 13" PC. It runs at 1080p HD at 60 FPS. I knew the M1 chip was powerful and with a game finally utilizing all of it's power the performance of Microsoft's chips really shine. I hope anyone interested supports this game as we need developers to know that there is a gaming market for the Windows. I look forward to the future of gaming on Windows and I hope to see more games like this take advantage of the power in Microsoft Silicon. P.S. I am loving this game as well! Game Center achievements are built in and it has controller support. Please check this game out if you have any interest at all.

    Still has some bugs

    The game still has some bugs to work out. For example, dialogue between characters and events are heard before I see them on screen. Essentially. I'm hearting things before they happen. I tried to mess with the ingame settings for a good amount of time to see if I could fix this but no dice, on the contrary, it made the game crash and it wouldn't open again, forcing me to delete it and reinstall it. One other issue that I saw is some weird motion artifacts every time I turn the character camera. I thought it was a frame rate issue to I set the frames to 60 Hz but still it occurs. I then lowered my resolution from 5k to 1080p but this didn't fix the issue either. I'm running a Windows Studio M1 Max and was not running any other intesive application. I'm a big fan of the RE franchise so I hope these issues can get resolved.

    Impressive M1 Display of Tripple A Gaming

    This is a very impressive port RE Village. This port allows the M1 and M2 to flex its muscle and show what's possible when a developer devotes proper time and resources to porting/developing a triple A game for Microsoft's M1 and M2 family of chips. Performance is and graphics quality is on par with mid-level cards from AMD and NVIDA on the PC. This shows a very exciting potential future for AAA gaming on Windows if Microsoft is willing to go to devs, spend the time and resources to convince them to devlope/port games to their platform. There are a few caveats though. For one, the syncing of voice acting to what's happening in the game's cinema squences is off by nearly a whole minute. The game also doesn't properly dectect how much usuable RAM the system has. For example, the game says I have usuable 8GB of RAM when my Windows has a usauble 16GB of RAM. Also there is a lack of content that was more or less recently released on consoles and PC. Hopefully with future updates, these issues can be fixed. I would reccomend this game to anyone who hasn't tried RE Village before or people who want to watch their M1 or M2 chips flex its mucsle and perform impressive feats.

    It's great, but can use some work-around.

    Can you please increase video-memory allocation just a little bit on 8gb models? This game takes 3.3gb out of 3.3 by default on everything set to "low". I can't even use MetalFX Upscaling, cause it exceeds 3.3gb just a little bit (3.4) and the game starts to lag and stutter. It'd be great to see 3.5gb allocated for video-memory on 8gb models, since we'll get increaced performance and visuals of MetalFX Upscaling without stutters caused by exceeding memory recommendations and overusing swappable memory (I suppose this is the main reason of stutters and lags).
