Love this app! I am now the best-looking person on all my Zoom calls

I tried this app because I was tired of having the crappiest webcam images on all my Zoom calls. And I've been really pleased. Seriously: it's like night and day. Webcam Effects has changed everything! It's got lots of powerful tools, but is super intuitive to use; it took me less than 5 minutes of playing around with it to more or less master it. It offers a bunch of preset filters, but if you prefer you can manually tweak sharpness, color, and brightness settings to create your own custom filters and then name and save them. I love the zoom, track, and and tilt features, which mean I can excise the parts of my background I don't want folks to see without having to resort to dumb backgrounds or trying to constantly reposition my webcam. The color correction tools are super cool and remind me of Photoshop. The free version lets you play around and get a sense of what this can do. If you like it, download the paid version, which I did. This will let you stream the cam feed to other apps like Zoom and Teams. When you get the paid version, you also get a bonus video record and play feature which lets you record and play or loop video of yourself with the much-enhanced visual effects. I downloaded v1.9.9 and did not have any memory issues. I'm a fan.

There is a need for this sort of app, and a lack.

The work-from-home crowd that lives on webcams needs something that works with Teams, Zoom, Around, etc - this does a great job! It might have a low rating now but that's only because people need to find this. The developer has been so helpful in addressing issues. You might think that it'd be easy to find something to just flip the image or tweak the camera settings, but no, there is a real lack of desktop solutions which is so funny to me given the proliferation of filtering apps for mobile. The M1 version is a gamechanger - if you have a modern Windows that's up-to-date, this is your solution.

Superbly useful app; Exceptional customer service

I got this app because I was tired of the cruddy look of my webcam for teaching online. I've got a greenscreen behind me, but you could still see the edges behind the screen, color balance was all wrong, etc. THEN I found this app. It's exactly what I wanted. I can frame myself precisely without having to move my display around just with the zoom, pan, and tilt controls. Game changer! Color controls are nice, too. If you want to be an expert you can control lots of aspects, but there are also lots of presets you can just click and go with. Very easy to use with zoom, but it does require the paid app. To me, though, completely worth it. Here's why: not only is this a well constructed and super helpful app, but the minute I had an issue with my dual displays, I emailed the developer and he was on it like lightning. Super helpful and friendly, responsive. I'm more than happy to pay for both a product and service like this.

Maybe I do not know how to start but... no instructions

Looks impressive so I downloaded to try on my PC 13.0" 2017 ( maybe the model has smth to do with this), running Big Sur Version 11.6. So beeing super excited that I can improve the Windows 's terrible camera ( I can not believe what kind of piece of junk Microsoft installed on this Windows, i was not expecting that). So, I downloaded the app and .... it does not work, i can not run the preview. ( yes set up in Privacy allowing the app to run the camera). The worse part of this is that there is no help with set up on developer web page. Everything is about the premium version but... how can I trust if the basic does not work? How to improve my experience? Get the support info on the app or on the web page. I'm sorry I lost some time

    Crashes, doesn't work

This app doesn't work. I'm on Big Sur, trying to get some decent video out of the crappy built-in webcam on my expensive Microsoft Thundebolt Display. This program crashed repeatedly in just the first couple minutes of tryng it. Even when it was running, the Preview is of only a small section of what you see if using your camera in Zoom (my head was not in the picture at all). And the controls did nothing to the picture shown in the Zoom preview. Waste of time...
