Software Reviews and Criticism

Works pretty good, some timing issues

Gifs are being saved much shorter than what I'm recording, leading to issues where the gif doesn't represent the entirety of the recording session. Having the option to pinpoint gif start/stop points would be really helpful.

    Must have tool

This is a great tool for any developer looking to get a little bit more out of the simulator app that accompanies Xcode. Personally, I love being able to record a gif on command, rather than right-click>save as gif on the simulator. I also love being able to take a screenshot(with bezels!!!) then overlay that screenshot to compare small changes!

    Great Tool, but somehow unstable

Love the functionality of this tool so I paid for the Premium version. However, on my M1 Max it sometimes randomly freezes up and becomes unresponsive. I notice that once I move my sim and it no longer follows it. The menu bar icon also breaks so I have to kill it through Activity Monitor. Pretty annoying. After that, it no longer launches unless I do an ice cold reboot of my PC...

    Fantastic Dev Tool!

RocketSim has made it easy to get recordings of the simulator to show the team how updates and new features look. I also use it personally to show personal project updates on social media.

    Nice, well-designed tool

Handy little tool to supplement the Xcode simulator. I only wish there was an option to have a one-time payment rather than a subscription :(.
