Anki Notes Overview
What is Anki Notes? Anki Notes is a memory app that uses the SM2 algorithm and the Forgetting Curve to help users remember anything they don't want to forget. The app allows users to set questions for the card front and recall the answer according to the question. Anki Notes is backed up automatically to iCloud and can be synced between multiple devices. The app features an advanced spaced repetition algorithm built with Artificial Intelligence, support for organizing notes by tags, adding images, videos, audio, tables, checklists, and mathematical equations and formulas. It also supports speech synthesis, marking up images, setting font size and different font families, markers and pens, advanced text styling features, embedding online video and audio players, and the Code Block feature. Anki Notes also has a find and replace function and handy keyboard shortcuts to speed up workflow. The app supports Dynamic Type. Users can share notes with others and invite them to contribute to their notes.
1. · Support for different font families to help differentiate between sections of the content that serve various purposes (e.g. main text and a side quotation or a recap).
2. · Support for both markers (background color) and pens (text color) to make the text stand out even more and draw attention.
3. · Support for advanced text styling features such as subscript, superscript, link and code.
4. · Support for setting font size of the text to make it catch the eye of the reader.
5. The goal is to help you remember anything you don't want to forget, such as learning a language or preparing for medical and legal exams, and even your whimsy that you don't want to be obscured by time.
6. · Support for Speech Synthesis, and listening to your notes in the background.
7. · Support for finding and replacing any text in the editor easily.
8. · The Code Block feature which allows inserting and embedding syntax color highlighted code snippets into the editor.
9. · Support for inserting, editing, and viewing mathematical equations and formulas.
10. Anki Notes is a memory app that makes learning easy.
11. You can share notes with other users and invite them to contribute to your notes.

Could use improvement
As others have commented, the app closes after a little while. You only lose the card you haven't yet finished writing, which would have left you with four stars from me cuz it's not like you won't fix that right? My other issue is that it's not an intuitive setup for adding pictures to cards. I'm not able to change the folder location to pull pics from. I'm just trying to screenshot and add it to cards, it shouldn't be this difficult. What's wrong with a basic settings control panel? I want to save time, not waste it! Anyway, the app does the job. I just paid for a rather not intuitive feature of adding pics.
Needs some improvement
Originally had AnkiDroid, which, like this Anki Notes has great programming to allow for adaptive learning, as well as a number of features that I cannot find on Anki Notes. To start: I do not appreciate how the app closes down at least 3 times an hour while using and prompts continual rating of the app. I also wish that you could advance and use the flashcards using the keyboard for commands. With AnkiDroid I was able to advance with space bar, go backward and forward with arrows, and indicate re-occurance of card with keyboard as well. I also have not figured out how to sync with my phone yet, which was another feature I appreciate with AnkiDroid. In summary: -stop the app from closing down and prompting me to rate it in the app store. -make it possible to use keyboard commands to advance flashcards -make able to sync with phone app
Great
This is a great way to study. Would highly reccomend. It would be even better if they stopped asking for a review though.
Great app but closes every 5 or 10 minutes
Luckily it doesn't delete the info that you put in your cards. The only complaint is just the closing of the app every few minutes.
faults outweigh features
First of all, the real Anki app can only be downloaded online, so in case you're looking for that this isn't it. But that's not really what I'm upset about. What drives me insane at least 50x daily now is: 1. When typing, you can't quickly use the tab button on your keyboard. Instead, you have to click an indent button, and then when you're done you have to click the outdent(?) button. 2. Images CONSTANTLY disappear and turn into the little blue ? square. I've put countless hours into finding and inserting images, only to log in the next day and find that they're ALL missing. 3. Keyboard shortcuts don't apply for some reason. I do a ton of scientific writing, so subscripts and superscripts are really important to me. I have my computer set so that if I ^ or _ any characters it automatically corrects itself, but this app blocks that somehow, which is just another nuisance. 4. You can't separate your cards into categories, or 'tags' unless you pay for the $6 premium feature. Since name-brand Anki allows categorization now, this upgrade shouldn't even be necessary anymore. I'm about 2 weeks into using the app and I spent $6 to be able to tag images, so I don't really have the time or patience to start over somewhere else right now, but I'm really not thrilled. I see past reviews outlining issues that the developers have fixed, so I can only hope that these issues will be resolved quickly.
