Splitter Overview

What is Splitter? Splitter is a lightweight and easy-to-use Mac app that allows users to create, import, and share splits for their games. It uses LiveSplit-Core for accuracy and stability. The app features a built-in Splits Editor, integrated splits.io search, and the ability to import existing LiveSplit and Splits.io splits. Users can also customize global hotkeys, use Overlay Mode to keep Splitter visible on top of all games, and use Shortcuts actions to open and split runs. Advanced layout customization options include changing the background, font, and delta colors of the run, customizing the start value, update value, and update trigger of columns, and hiding/showing additional components. Splitter is not affiliated with any videogame developer/publisher.

    A good start

    I think it works pretty well with a good amount of options. I wish it would save your appearance settings more (like hiding or showing icons). And if it had more appearances settings like font or color options that would make it A in my book. It's definitely a nice alternative if you don't have anything else to run with.

    Some Basic Features Don't Work

    Things that don't work for me on 10.15.5 - Global hotkeys. I've allowed the app in preferences, but still the button just takes me to the preferences and global hotkeys do not register - Reset split. Simply doesn't work. The timer just keeps ticking. Things that are missing - Start timing from an arbitrary split - Reset best times. This is useful if you accidentally progress to the next split too early. It's very easy to do since you can't time individual splits.

    Very unstable

    I haven't even started to use this and it has already crashed 3 times.

    Good Split Timer, would recommend

    Ive been using this app for a couple of months now and I love it. Unfortunately recently, the newest update has my made my experience a bit difficult. My hot keys are not responding like before and it seems to use more CPU than before. Nonethless, I'm certain the bugs will be fixed eventually. 👍

    Best I could find for Windows

    I find it pretty reliable and useful. I really wish you could drag and drop to reorder splits or choose where to add a new one. Currently if you add a split it goes to the bottom of the list with no way to move it. Thanks for the hard work and for making a god split timer for Windows :)
