Wuick and easy to learn
This app is good for a quick floorplan and there are not many controls, but the available controls seem to be able to do the basics. I am still searching for a floorplan application that is both as easy to learn as this one, but with some more functions, like control of the "snap-to" grid, manual entry of measurements (to improve on precision mousing), the ability to 'save as' a new filename, and many more functions. I am going to keep on using this app and look for a more robust version of it.
Not a lot of options
I am trying to design a small studio apartment, and I have not been able to add anything but the basics. For example, I wanted to add a glass block window into an interior wall separating the bathroom area from the living area, and the app won't let me do it. If there is a way to designate a bay window on the exterior wall, I have yet to find it. The furniture is very basic squares and circles, so you don't get a good visual of what it will look like, and there are no options to choose floor and wall colours (or I still can't find them). So it is either a non-user friendly app or it is a very limited one. But it allows you to get a basic layout of what you want and to make sure everything fits.
M1 (No, not the carbine)
I tried several of the offerings in the App Store but didn't want to invest three figures on high-level apps. At the time I was using a 13" 2013 PC. This was by far the best floor plan app I tried. It has its quirks--it was created in France, and some of the household stuff doesn't entirely translate (Do you have a "Cooking Piano" at home?) Of importance currently is its use on an M1 Windows. In that, it translated perfectly; it responds faster than on my MBP. I definately recommend this app for casual use, which is what it's priced for.
Good, but probelms saving to PDF
It is a good simple program, but it hangs up trying to export to PDF. The work around I found is to print and save as a PDF thru the printer function screen.
Gets the job done.
I guess that if you are a professional, you may need something more powerful, por example with more furniture options. But if you are using this a few times, if you are moving or renovating, then this fits very well and it has a reasonable price. I am moving and figuring out how my exiting furniture should be postitioned in the new home, perfect use case.
