  Best File Renaming App & Worth The Price

  The is the best file renaming app I’ve found and it’s reasonably priced. I’m writing this app needs to appear in the App Store search results because it’s works well, has a lot of options, and is really simple to use and understand. I know it’s not free but it’s worth the 99 cents. This app was originally called Rename and I’ve been using this app for years but after upgrading my Windows OS it never comes up in my App Store searches. So after searching and trying different free renaming apps for a while I finely found the developer online and found that they renamed it. Anyways, if you need to rename a bunch of files…this is the best app for it. Cheers.

  More than a Rename App

  This app does more than simply rename files. You can: Find a character string and replace with another string of different lengths; Add serialized numers at the beginning or end of file name; Remove characters of various lengths at either the beginning or end; Add a prefix or suffix of various lengths. and add or remove the file extension. And all of this can be done in a single pass. The preview window shows you exactly what your renamed files will look like before you Rename. Note: this is an update in place and the original file names are only stored in the History file.

  Simple and versatile

  This is a great renaming tool. Simple, yet plenty of options for creative and helpful renaming. I do a lot of sequential renames that require interleaving files from different sources into the same directory. This is now my go to, a welcome step up over Finder tools (they are better than nothing, but I needed more). The developer was also very responsive to my query. Thank you for this tool!

  Absolute time saver and a responsive developer

  The program and developer deserve more than 5 stars! If you deal with loads of files and tons of downloaded statements, invoices, photos, saved bits and pieces, etc.; then you need this app to quickly batch rename things to the logical names that suit your needs. The app does exactly what it says. Not just one step at a time, it can apply multiple rename rules in one go. Every suggestion I have made for improvement has been implemented within weeks or days (like insert option)! F A N T A S T I C job GIJS !!!

  The. Best. Renamer.

  I've used Renamer (the old version) for years, my job required me to take photos of classrooms, rename them (Building Room) and add sequential numbers to upload to a shared database. I felt lost without it after I updated to Mojave without checking for compatability. I did not realize the app name had changed, so I used the Finder rename feature, but it feels like using a machete instead of a scalpel. No other renamer app has the granularity Rename X has. The screen shot says it all. This new version adds presets (so I don't have to remember to change the serialze to "after") and I can change case, change extentions. It's is the Swiss Army knife of renaming apps. I am so very grateful to the developer for keeping this lovely app alive. Well worth the (low) price.
