Original And Different
Being a long time gamer, we are talking Pong generation, I rated this game highly due to its uniqueness and execution. One of the nice features is you can change the POV to cockpit, runway or tower view. This adds a simulator type aspect to the game when you climb in the pilots seat during take off, taxing or landing. You do not have vehicle control but the game view is not restricted just from the tower. The game can be tailored to whatever diffculty you choose. And it can be very challenging keeping the planes from stacking up and crashing on the tarmac. One nice feature is you can abort the landing and do a fly around or slow the arriving planes descent. Learning curve is fairly straightforward. The planes are much more realistic in design than I expected. The environment graphics are not detailed but that does not take away from the gameplay. Voice track adds a realistic dimension to the game. As well there are social banners which display during gameplay (can be turned off) which either criticize or compliment your ability to control the airport arrivals and depatures. This adds some needed interactive feedback which you will find amusing. I am running the game at 1920x1080 on a 65” OLED and it looks quite nice. This is a refreshing simulator in a rinse and repeat game market that is over saturated with shoot em ups, and fighting games. It’s also good to be playing a game on my Windows again. It’s been long overdo.
Very addictive; small frustrations
I love this game, and have spent hours playing it! My only frustration is how aircraft will occasionally stop on taxiways and ramps (and turn orange on the control screen) with no explanation provided for why or recourse. I've had crashes end my bid at a firehose because one of these backed up the queue onto the runway and I could not have done anything about it. Either fix this, provide an explanation as to why they've stopped, or give us an explanation as to what we need to do to fix, and you absolutely have 5 stars from me!
taking off...
Yes, addicting, and partly so because of the pace. (like life sometimes?!) Very well done; the game play forgives the lower quality of background image. Fun. In time perhaps the single-minded sort of overall activity might get some weary - but meanwhile - fun. Future enhancements might include better graphics, choice of using more/all the runways given for any one airport, and how much is this to scale??? Good simple to use game play control.
Best ATC sim out there
In my opinion, this game is very satifying and well-built for the low cost. I have been replaying every challenge almost every day. Regardless of a few problems, like planes turning invisible and colliding, these are few and far between enough to only annoy you when going for a very high score on madness levels. I am waiting with bated breath for new releases. Thanks, MP Digital!
Not bad!!
Game runs good. Nice graphics. A little more variation in game scenarios would be nice. On occasion a plane goes rogue, crashes into another and ends my game. :( Still enjoyable. A little more meat to this game and I woould give it 5 stars.
