Almost perfect!
Update- Thank u for the response. I used the ID, as you had suggested. I am able to use the app on both devices now. Love your app, and all your updates! More navigation would be nice, there are so many options!!! Is there a way to load all feeds from certain RSS’s? It’s an option in Feedly. Not sure about FF. Thanks again. Love the app on my iPhone. I have the PREMIUM subscription...however, it is not working on my iPad. Keep getting prompts to purchase again! Family sharing is NOT WORKING for this app. After few emails, the developer replied, I need to subscribe, restore or reinstall. I have tried all of these, w/no success. And, this was noted in my email, I have a current paid, subscription. *Replied via email to developer, it’s not the same Microsoft ID, it is part of my family sharing. Again, this is the ONLY app I have this problem with. Happy to update my review, when resolved. Waiting for response from developer...thank u
Takes forever to load; constantly freezes
I want to love this app. It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for to replace Mr. Reader, which I’ve continued to use because I love it even though it was abandoned many years ago. But I’m trying to use it with my Feedbin account, and it’s impossible. When I open the app, there’s always a huge delay and spinning wheel before I even see my folder list. About 80% of the time, nothing happens the first time I tap on anything - a folder, an article - the app is just frozen. I have to wait until it’s ready to respond to me. Then wait again the next time I want to do something. I can’t even figure out how to get it to show all my articles, only folder by folder. Sometimes clicking the app icon on my (iPad mini 4) desktop has no response. It’s so frustrating that it’s unusable. I’m very sad about this.
My favorite RSS reader
I run my own rss server using ttrss. It was difficult finding a client I liked using without ending up with a poorly supported work around (the fever plugin for example). Then I found Fiery Feeds. The app is gorgeous, provides tons of options, a plethora of supported platforms, awesome themes, and is a joy to use. The full text function is awesome for the truncated feeds. It’s hands down my favorite reading app on the iPhone. It also supports read it later services like Pocket, Self-Hosted with wallabag, or its own built in service. The developer has been responsive to questions and feedback. I highly recommend you check it out if you’re looking for a great reader app. It’s definitely my favorite.
Most responsive developer I've worked with + best RSS app
I am deeply enjoying reading my feeds with Fiery. This is not just because of the excellent design, or the frequent updates, but also, crucially, because of how responsive the developer is. Several times I've sent mails and gotten a response within a day or less. If you manage a lot of feeds, you will want to look at Fiery. I've requested obscure features that have made their way into a release a week or two later, and this present release adds some features I'd not even gotten round to requesting yet. This is how you do software. Thank you for being such a wonderful example of how it's done.
But I’m starting over from scratch
I was hoping to start over with RSS feed readers, since I have not had a feed reader since my Google Reader days. I have no feed accounts anywhere. Not with Feedly or any other of the newer RSS feed readers. Therefore, I was entirely unable to sign in. I’m glad I didn’t just jump right in and buy a premium account that I would’ve been unable to use. Your product seems to have no use cases for a person who is entirely new to RSS feed readers. This is not the way to attract new people to your product. I would be thrilled to try your product again if you add some way of authenticating outside of some other feed reader service. I would even be willing to sign in via Google. Please provide this basic functionality and I would be delighted to revise this review. Oh, and my husband, a Feedly subscriber, would also be delighted to try your product.
