TLDFLite Overview

What is TLDFLite? TLDF (Timelapse Deflicker) is a universal MAC app that helps users create flicker-free time-lapse videos and images easily. It features an advanced deflickering algorithm that adjusts pixel brightness non-linearly, noise reduction and blending, fast rendering using GPU, partial noise reduction or blending with masking features, and the ability to edit key frames and interpolate intermediate frames for smooth transitions. TLDF supports RAW and most popular image formats as input, and outputs high-quality images (TIFF, PNG, JPEG) and videos (ProRes, HEVC, H.264) in various color profiles and resolutions up to 8K. It also supports multi-core CPUs and 16-bit editing and input/output. TLDF offers two workflow options: a fast 8-bit workflow for JPEG images and a very high-quality 16-bit workflow for RAW images.

    Amazing timelapse program

All of the features you need to create amazing timelapses. Deflickering works really well, and being able to set a reference area is extremely useful. Keyframes let you get your timelapse looking exactly how you want. This was only the second timelapse I have ever made, and I am absolutely impressed with the results. Program was reasonably fast too. Thanks to the developer for making this so easy.

    5 Stars

Very intuitive. Has all the basic timelapse tools I was looking for. Tiered paying for the resolution you require is nice too.

Does not scale up to large time lapse sets

I've got upwards of 200,000 images in 400 folders. This program as it exists right does not appear to allow that sort of timelapse database to be inhaled conveniently. For a single folder with hundreds of photos, it would probably be OK.

    Crap

Just downloaded it to try before buying the full version. This is terrible software. It stalled on importing a set of JPEGs with a warning that all files must be the same size (they are). Then I tried a render and it just spun its wheels for several hours. Quicktime 7PRO is what I've been using (I need to find a new app should I decide to upgrade to Catalina) and it will render a MOV file in a minute or two.
