  Scriptation saves me so much time!

  Currently I am on episodic, and we get countless colored one liners and script pages. Scriptation saves me so much time transferring all of my notes from one color to the next . To have the ability to thoroughly break down a script , Whether it be for television or film and be able to instantly transfer it every time there is an update is amazing. I also create folders from my episodes and store my PDFs whether I create them or whether they’re sent to me in that file and I have everything all together on my iPad and not have to carry around a 3 inch notebook is a beautiful thing. On the information page we could use a detailed one or two sentence explanation to share with our first 80s and production managers as to how to send the digital files so that they are fully accessible on Scriptation.

  How did I go this long without you

  Since being turned on to Scriptation my set life has become a director dream. Well , the organization of my scripts always.... No more transferring of notes every time we get a rewrite or a new note. No more hoping my pages don’t get wet while shooting outside or worse lost ! Everyone who sees me working with Scriptation is immediately intrigued, actors , producers , ADs , many of whom now use it as their go to script throughout productions. I can’t recommend this app enough - you purists can keep you binders and pages with smeared pencil marks and highlighted notes that make your script look like a manic third grader - or you can welcome in the new age of film organization. Try it - you will thank me later. PS - you’re welcome in advance.

  How did I live without this?

  There’s no going back to paper scripts after this. Everything from annotating in every way possible to seamless notes transfer to updated scripts have made life so much easier. I just wanted to be able to read and jot notes quickly on scripts but now that I’ve had a deep dive into the program I’m blown away with how much I can do. As a director who needs to make notes for all department heads, as well as myself, this app goes way beyond what I would expect from an app. I haven’t paid for the upgraded version yet, but I might do it just to support the creators who work so hard to bring us such a great app.

  Will never go back to...

  ...iAnnotate. This app addresses all the issues I had with iAnnotate. The most time consuming was “new pages” for which I had to use Acrobat Pro on my computer to insert them into my script. Not something we enjoy doing any time and certainly not what you want to do just before a live show. Being able to insert those pages virtually instantly, using only the iPad, is invaluable. I’ve only used Scriptation for one show and am learning how great it is for so many other things I need when camera blocking a show. And, Support from Rico has been terrific.

  VERY HELPFUL AND SAVING TREES

  I am really enjoying Scriptation. I am someone who physically needs to write and draw on all my scripts it is part of my “process.” Scriptiation has helped me so much in still being able to still write on my scripts and easily transfer all my notes, which was always in a issue. It has cut down so much on the amount of paper used to print scripts as well as carrying around multiple highlighters and Pens. There are some glitches that need to be ironed out like sometimes my tools freeze and I need to switch out of the tool and back and some notes transfer to weird places .
